The Journey of a Family Striving to Live Dangerously Surrendered!

"Surrendering means that we have come to the end of our independence from him, our reliance on self-sufficiency, and our insistence that we don’t need him. Surrender to God changes everything! Why add the word dangerous to surrender? Because we don’t surrender to a benevolent but impotent grandfatherly figure; we surrender to Almighty God —the Creator and Sustainer of the universe. C. S. Lewis’s character Aslan in the Chronicles of Narnia depicts God as a magnificent lion —good, but certainly not safe. Surrendering your life to God is the boldest and riskiest step you can take. Being dangerously surrendered to God allows you to know him in increasingly deeper ways and to participate fully in his will. " ~Kay Warren

Waiting on a Miracle

God has amazed us over and over again in this process of adopting our children. Just in time, with each deadline, He has come through in ways we could not predict. What I've learned more than anything else over the past 15 months is trust. God is absolutely trustworthy! He never falls short of the complete promise. He is truly Jehovah Jireh, our Provider.

We are arriving upon yet another deadline, unsure how God will work. We are to have almost $6800 for our airline tickets by Thursday. We are short $1900. We are again lifting our need before a great God and knowing He has not brought us this far to leave us hanging.

Thank you for praying for this need. After this deadline, we will need about $6000 more to travel. God is faithful. Our kids will be home very soon.

Thank you for your prayers.

Blessings,
Kurt and JoLynn

Dear Lord, I lift up this sweet family to your care. I pray the body of Christ would come forward at this time to provide all this family needs to bring home their children.
Amen!
